Customer Loyalty Means Nothing

Fingerhut credit is very cruel. I've been a loyal customer for about 4 years. I never missed a payment and a payment was never late on my account. Like a lot of people during the pandemic I fell on hard times. I missed a few payments. But I was contacted later and was told that if I paid $150 for 3 consecutive months it would get my account back on track. Well I did that only to bet told that I would not ever have an available credit line on my account. And would have to pay off the remaining balance. Once the remaining balance was paid I would have to close the account. Wait seven days and apply for a new credit account and there was no guarantee that I would be excepted.

Now if this is how Fingerhut treats loyal customers who suffered through a pandemic. Why would I reapply for another credit account once this one is paid off? Hell I'm sorry I ever became a customer in the first place! But I won't ever make that mistake again. And if you're smart you won't either. There policies and customer loyalty is horrible and so is their customer service.

Customer service is nonexistent.
Try to change your due date, hahaha. My payments were being made but two days past my due date, as soon as disability hit my bank account. For two days they charged me late fees equal to all but $2 of my payments. I explained my situation and asked for a change of due date. They refuse. So I quit paying. Major BS, avoid. They claim to help fix your credit rating when in reality they beat it up.

I'm making this complaint because first off, I never needed Fingerhut. I got it to actually help my daughter. But my complaint is they want to pretty much make you buy something. If I need something I will get it, if not why are you all telling me that my credit limit will decrease because I'm not spending any money with you. I don't owe them nothing but they want to mess up your credit because your not buying. I'm looking into a class action lawsuit against them for illegal practices. I have good credit cards and they don't bug me with mail and messages trying to make me buy anything. This needs to stop...PERIOD Had I known they are this crooked I would of left them alone.

I made a purchase but never received my item. Fingerhut refused to ship my item. They added negative item on my credit report. I ended up paying for an item that I never received. I paid it because I didn’t want any negatives on my credit report

I had an account with finger hut for…

I had an account with finger hut for many years. Always paid my balance in full and on time every month. Tried to pay my final balance and my account gets locked out. Cust Serv rep didn’t want to help and a manager was only wanting to take my final payment over the phone. So I closed my account and will never spend my money with thus company again !

Worst Company ever

The worst company ever. My first Purchase I received they sent the wrong item. Customer service was no help making me wait 7-10 Business days to receive a return slip the it will take up to 15 days to process the return before another up to 15 days to receive the Item I really ordered. And expecting me to make payments on it during this time and I wont want or need it by then. The I'll probably have to wait another 10 days for my refund

Bought a higher end laptop computer 200 off.

The shipping was too high but since I wanted expedited anyway I paid second day air so the shipping didn't bother me too much on that particular purchase. However I see decent competitive prices on merchandise but I'm not about to pay five times more in shipping to get it. Sorry Fingerhut offer some shipping discounts. Thanks

Never ending balance, cr*p products

I started with Fingerhut trying to get my credit score up, It did help my credit score however everything I got from them very cheaply made, defective and monthly payment OMG I pay more to them than I do my credit cards. And it seems like the balance never goes down. So I plan on paying it off I have 600 and something dollars even though the products I got were probably worth 150. I’m wondering if I paid off is it going to hurt my credit score? I see were people say they paid off and do not use it and their credit score went down.I really regret ever starting with them. If you do not need Fingerhut please please please do not use them. You will so regret it soon after.

We paid an overpriced $400 to get our daughter the LOL Chalet for Christmas. Once we put it together on Christmas Eve, we realized that an entire piece of the back section of the house was missing! This was her big present, so we took the loss and set it up that way anyways, but it was a huge disappointment.

FRAUD

Never heard of this company, but it came up on a credit report as delinquent. Called the company. Someone opened an account with our name and purchased knives that were shipped to another state. We were never sent a bill at our address. We never would have known until we saw the credit report, and the company refuses to fix it.
Never heard of them prior to this incident. Never ordered anything, never received anything... yet are STILL being negatively impacted by them.
Reported to Police today and will send to Division of Consumer Affairs.
Fingerhuy sent back 2 separate form letters basically telling us it was our problem, and to pay the bill.
Outrageous.

I ordered from them last year and I had great service this year a few weeks ago I ordered I supposed to be buy one get one free on the queen size sheets it even stated on their website the beginning of January buy one get one free so I got two sets that was supposed to be for when I checked out I said buy one get one free they overcharged me the only sent me two seats when I called to see about it customer service told me that that wasn't true and I said yes it was I spoke to the manager she told me the same thing and I got mad and told him I'll never buy from them again I don't recommend Fingerhut

Junk products

Ordered an insta pot that I've owned less than a year to learn the seal is not warrantied nor replaceable.
Now on to the dog beds that tore along the seam on BOTH beds (same spot on both). Un-replacable also un-refundable.
I will never order again from this rip off company
